It is the season of giving! At VeeFriends we are passionate about giving back to the global community through charitable donations. With 1% of all royalties from secondary transactions being donated in perpetuity and on an annual basis to charities of our choosing, we are thrilled to partner with and donate to?several incredible organizations. One charity that VeeFriends proudly supports is?Pencils of Promise?(PoP). This year we are excited to continue supporting PoP’s mission on?#CryptoGivingTuesday!
What is Pencils of Promise?
Pencils of Promise?(PoP) is a global charity that believes that every child should have access to quality education. They accomplish this goal through their?Teacher Support?program,?WASH program, and?school-building?initiatives. PoP’s Teacher Support program provides teachers with workshops and 1 on 1 coaching where they learn about innovative methodologies and are provided with age-appropriate dynamic materials to enhance the educational experience of their students. The WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) program provides children access to clean water, bathrooms, and good hygiene practices to foster their growth/development. Last, but certainly not least, PoP does service work missions where they build schools in underserved and underdeveloped communities around the world.
Recently, PoP continued its global mission of education equality with a service work mission to Guatemala where their team is supporting the construction of the Graziano school. To date, PoP has?built 589 schools?across Guatemala, Ghana, and Laos to ensure students have access to safe infrastructure for learning. Additionally, PoP hosted another collaboration with the Web3 space when they auctioned an exclusive?AkuDreams?NFT at their annual?Gala. This auction raised funds to continue its mission of bringing quality education to children across the globe.
How is VeeFriends Supporting PoP This Year?
VeeFriends will continue our partnership with?Pencils of Promise?by supporting their?“Season of Promise”?and?#CryptoGivingTuesday?initiative. On Tuesday, November 29th our VeeFriends community will be able to directly support PoP through donations?HERE. Your donation will directly impact global education by supporting PoP’s initiative of empowering communities around the world through equal access to quality education.
Last year, VeeFriends donated 5.6ETH ($20,800 price at the time) to PoP in December through our secondary transaction charity fund. Additionally, we held an?auction?of a VeeFriends Series 1 G.O.O. netting?16.8852ETH ($57,597.78 price at the time)?which was donated to PoP. VeeFriends believes in equal education opportunities and we are proud to be supporting PoP as one of our amazing charity partners now and in the future!
