VECTO TRAILER : Publication of the implementing regulation relating to induced CO2 performances by (semi-)trailers O3 and O4

The European Commission has published today (05/08/2022) implementing Regulation (EC) No 595/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the performance of heavy-duty trailers with regard to their influence on the CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, energy consumption and zero emission driving range of motor vehicles and amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/683.

This officially launches the new regulation relating to O3/O4 trailers and semi-trailers, as discussed between CLCCR’s members and EC since 2017.

This regulation is a major step for bodybuilders and their partners, as it means that all new vehicles of the above type will have to go through the calculations performed with VECTO TRAILER TOOL, a software design to compute the vehicles’ environmental performances – taking into account many factors such as axles, aerodynamic and equipments.

CLCCR’s members will be keen to assist european bodybuilders to comply with this regulation that will be compulsory beyond 01/01/2024.
