Vatech plans to enhance the accuracy of 3D dental segmentation technology by utilising the extensive CBCT data held by Eyes of AI. Through this collaboration, Vatech aims to segment a broader range of clinical structures, such as teeth, roots, and nerves, with greater precision using AI. The anatomical information visualised through AI segmentation will enable more accurate guidance for procedures like implant surgeries and nerve treatments. Additionally, Vatech intends to employ AI to develop functionalities such as generating virtual patients to assist in dental treatment and counselling. Integration with commercially available services will allow AI detection of conditions like dental caries, inflammation, and tumours to be displayed directly in the viewer.
Vatech is also focusing on developing AI technologies for image noise reduction and resolution enhancement. Seong-il Choi, Head of Research at Vatech, commented, “As a global leader in the dental CT market, Vatech is accelerating the development and application of diverse AI technologies to improve the accuracy of dental diagnosis and the convenience of treatments.” He added, “Our goal is to reduce the time required for treatment preparation, allowing dentists to dedicate more time to enhancing the quality of dental care and services.”
