Varanasi III

I’m publishing this series on LinkedIn called Colors to explore a topic that I care deeply about: the Renaissance Mind. I am just as passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and business, as I am about art and culture. In this series, I will typically publish a piece of art – one of my paintings – and I request you to spend a minute or two deeply meditating on it. I urge you to watch your feelings, thoughts, reactions to the piece, and write what comes to you, what thoughts it triggers, in the dialog area. Let us see what stimulation this interaction yields. For today – Varanasi III

The inspiration behind this painting is completely different from what I read in the comments. There are steps leading into the river all along the river Ganges in Varanasi. On these steps are large umbrellas. Looking at the ghats (steps) from the boats, you see these big umbrellas ... that's what I was thinking about. Of course, this is a complete abstraction of that concept.

I am sitting in a rock cottage with red carpet like on the tv. I see my big dog footstep coming in my red, pale means calming moods. Peace is all around me
