Varan: 1 bus - 2 ways of integration with KEB

Since many drive generations KEB supports the Varan field bus. This bus system is supported from the F5 drive generation, as well as from the new generation 6 (F6, S6, G6). KEB is a complete automation system supplier, anyway our philosophy is to let the customer free to decide his machine architecture.

In case of a Sigmatek PLC being set, we can offer two ways of integration for our drive portfolio.

1.   A direct connection over the Varan bus. In this case, LASAL classes from Sigmatek are available for a seamless integration of our drives.

2.   A connection over a flexible interface of the KEB motion controller.

In case of a needed application development on a Sigmatek PLC, we use to work together with the company Senomatic (www.senomatic.at) from Salzburg, Austria. They are very experienced user of our KEB motion controller and specialized application developer.

Together, we have successfully automated many machine in the last years.
