Message From the President
Vision.?We do a family puzzle every year based upon whatever my brother sends us as a family Christmas gift.? He sends cool puzzles. Examining the picture on the box always inspires me to do the hard work of placing 1000s of puzzle pieces intricately together as a team. It’s fun to “see” the big picture, gain momentum, and finish sections of the puzzle as a team.
This year's puzzle was a tribute to the game of baseball.? The puzzle was full of past-time baseball relics. Pictures of famous players, championship pennants, classic gameday programs, trophies, team logos, uniforms, and of course, bats, balls, and gloves.
The finished product was beautiful, just as the front of the box advertised.? However, if you had only first looked at the pieces dumped out on the living room coffee table without keeping the end in mind one could be overwhelmed with the complexity of work required.?
The Vanguard Team keeps the end in mind. We transform leaders, forge organizational excellence, and watch leaders win!?That’s the end state.? Leading and coaching leaders and organizations to practice excellence and align their passion, purpose, and precision in building high character, high culture, high performance teams are the puzzle pieces we enjoy putting together. The completed puzzle depicts organizations and leaders of excellence winning as a team together.
We had a blast keeping the end in mind and putting the Q2 2024 puzzle together. We took clients bass fishing, completed a one-day leadership think tank with AbbVie Customer Operations, conducted two ethical decision making leadership workshops with Westervelt’s Executive Leadership Team, trained the US Army Marksmanship Unit and their Olympians for Paris 2024, facilitated our ICF Level 1 Vanguard Professional Coaching Certification Course for 18 new coaches, facilitated the Vanguard Transformational Leadership Course for Global K9 leadership, facilitated team coaching for Phillips Tube Groups Executive Leadership Team, and sponsored a booth and networked at the VETS 24 Conference.
Throughout that time, our world class ICF coaches and mentor coaches engaged executives, leaders, and course participants through the art and science of coaching.? We also welcomed two new team members. Senior Vice President for Business Development, Mike Wall, and a new Mentor Coach, Mike Rauhut.?
We are looking forward to some summertime fun as we prepare our continued partnership with current and future clients. Together, we will transform leaders, forge excellence, and win.?
Keep Practicing Excellence,
Anthony Randall
