Van Serai Musing - Jageshwar
I returned from Kumaon yesterday after imparting training to Nature Guides, a program that WTI had assigned to me.
After the training, I took a short trip to Jageshwar to see what was happening at Van Serai in the Monsoon. There were waves of daisies & primulas swaying in the breeze as far as the eye could see. The river Surbhi had clear gushing water in it with the brown dipper darting in and out to feed.
The overcast sky opened up for a bit to show its crimson hues on Trishul and Nanda Devi in the evening as I strolled down to the Dandeshwar temple. There, I sat with my eyes closed. At about 10 pm, the energy had enveloped me. And then it started to drizzle.
I opened my eyes and became conscious of a pair of eyes watching me from a distance. There, under the lamp post, was one of my favourites - The Brown Wood Owl. We locked on to each other's gaze for a while. And then it spread its wings and dissolved into the black night.
Mohit, I loved Van Sarai on my visit with Pavan in Oct 14..Fantastic. .
