The values we champion

If anyone tells you HR is about rules, procedures, controls and compliance; they’re wrong.?

Our belief is that it’s about great people, doing a great job, every day, and enjoying it. The values of our HR consultancy and what we stand for are what sets us apart. At Brave, we’ve built our HR practice on the following principles:

1. Always do the right thing. We’re here to help you create a great place to work and build a business that people want to join and never leave. This means you and your leaders need to act with integrity. It means we have to, too. We’ll ensure you are in a position to treat your teams in the right way, even when it means giving them bad news. We’ll do the right thing, regardless of how tough the situation is, and we’ll empower you do to do same.?

2. Start with ‘Yes’. All too often we hear the phrase ‘you can’t do that . . .’. We always start with ‘yes, you can do that’ and then we work in partnership with you to work out the right options depending on your goals and risk appetite.?

3. Always challenge the status quo. Things can always improve. The world is constantly evolving and developing. The solution you used yesterday won’t necessarily be the best one tomorrow. We’ll challenge what you do and how you do it to make sure your people practices, and ours, are at the leading edge of HR practice.

4. We are Action-Orientated. We don’t just wait for the phone to ring. We get to know your business, your goals, opportunities and challenges. We then give you a proactive plan that empowers who to take action. We don’t sit back and wait and nor should you.

5. Simplicity. We believe in simplicity. There is no need for bureaucratic red tape and muti-layered procedures and rules. All of our strategies, solutions and advice are simple, clearly explained, useable and commercially focused on driving the right outcomes that will move your business forward.?

It is our belief that the best HR is outcome orientated and focused on people. As we said earlier, it’s not about process and rules. HR is about creating workplaces where people can come and thrive.?
