Health Care is Human Care: Meeting the Unique Needs of Every Patient

These words were spoken to Justin, a 20-year-old patient who has overcome more challenges than most will face in a lifetime. His story is an example of exceptional patient care at its best.
I had the opportunity to be part of Justin’s post-transplant reunion with his DaVita care team at Union Plaza in D.C. Celebrating the team that quite literally saved a young life is a reminder of the gravity of what we do.
As a health care community, let's commit that this is the standard of care we should be delivering. All patients deserve the same level of personalized care that Justin and his family received throughout his health journey.
