Value Of Time

Recently I came across a definition of value of time in the field of transport economics whereby the value of time is the opportunity cost of the time that a traveller spends on his/hers journey. In simple terms this makes it the amount that a traveller is willing to exchange in order to save time or amount that the traveller would be happy to receive in return for lost time. The definition source was somewhat unreliable however it made me think, what would I be prepared to exchange for time?
I would like to share a video which delivers a message about the value of time from a slightly different perspective. The person that shared this video with me was a young man whose life was tragically cut short by a terminal illness not long ago. He had big dreams and lots of hope but so little time.
I share this video as a tribute to his life and encourage you to think about the value of time you invest in life and business.
The key question to keep asking is, “Are you spending your time on the right things? Because time is all you have.†— Randy Pausch.
I hope you have enjoyed the video and I look forward to your thoughts.
