An automation machinery manufacturer based in Saudi Arabia was looking to transform and secure its voiceover platform that communicated important announcements to the occupants of elevators.The company was currently using prerecorded human voices and a third-party application, which also brought up a lot of security issues.
They now sought to enhance security, automate the process, and have the voiceover service in two languages, Saudi Arabic and English, to effectively cater to their target audience. They approached GetMax, a Microsoft gold partner and an experienced systems integrator, serving customers with innovation and pioneering technologies. The company was able to win the customer by initiating conversations around the challenges they faced.

The systems integrator conducted a detailed demo to showcase the benefits of the service to the customer’s purchasing team. GetMax showcased different voices and explained how the translation was going to take place. The IT solutions provider created a test environment to present how to deploy the services and then proceeded with the live setup, winning the customer’s confidence and trust.

Microsoft’s Azure Cognitive Services allowed the customer to integrate AI capabilities into its voiceover service. By deploying the text-to-speech feature, GetMax team was able to help the customer convert text to lifelike speech for more natural interfaces. The service enabled the customer to standardise and secure the process and allowed the continued application of their custom voices to avoid any copyright issues. The platform was also compatible to use both the languages that the customer desired.
According to Jain, one of the challenges the team faced was converting the documents that needed to be uploaded and downloaded to the service in .WAV format. “While this was something we discovered only in the PoC stage, we were able to easily handle it, given our team’s proficiency and skillset. The beauty of the platform is that it allowed the customer to have synthesized speech audio that fit their scenarios with customized voices in both English and Arabic. Also, the ease to deploy these services to enable natural conversation interfaces was another factor that the customer appreciated. This was possible by using Azure Cognitive Services’ neural voice capability.”
Azure Neural Text to Speech (Azure Neural TTS) is a powerful speech synthesis capability of Azure Cognitive Services, which enables developers to convert text to lifelike speech using AI.
The customer was able to achieve all its objectives and gain immense value-add from the GetMax team.
