Guitar notation is also written an octave higher than when played. Middle C, for example, played on the 5th string 3rd fret of the guitar which is in the bass string. This is done because if we have to write guitar music in the correct octave on the grand staff, we will be using the bass clef instead. This will be more difficult to learn and sight-read.

Lo peor que le pasa a los guitarristas en intentar desafiar un pentagrama con una guitarra, ya que a diferencia del piano, podemos llegar a tocar la misma nota hasta en 4 zonas del mástil. Increíblemente puede ser mas confuso y mas complicado. La tablatura ha sido un poco menospreciada por los guitarristas de escuela anterior a los a?os 70.
