What a fantastic way to start the week! This bright and chilly morning, TDRC was privileged to present to a new national surveying practice at their Bristol office.
The presentation, titled "Why Use an Independent Roofing Consultant," attracted nine attendees during a lively 45-minute session.
The session proved to be incredibly worthwhile, offering attendees fresh insights into the unique advantages of engaging an independent roofing consultant. It was encouraging to see how the discussion sparked numerous questions, particularly about the differences between independent consultants and representatives from waterproofing manufacturers. The message that resonated most strongly was the distinction between objective advice, as provided by TDRC, and the subjective nature of manufacturer-driven recommendations.
We delved into the benefits of performance-led criteria for waterproofing systems, demonstrating how this approach ensures tailored, effective solutions for clients. Attendees were also introduced to the diverse range of surveys TDRC offers, including drone surveys, infrared inspections, and moisture mapping. Each method was explained in detail, highlighting their unique advantages and limitations, empowering attendees with the knowledge to make informed decisions.

We explored a variety of waterproofing systems, including BUR (Built-Up Roofing), Single Ply, and Liquid Waterproofing Systems, explaining their respective advantages and how they align with different project requirements. Additionally, we demystified the types of guarantees offered by manufacturers, breaking them down into layman’s terms to ensure clarity.
