Tesla clearly doesn't qualify under the traditional definition of a disruptive innovation. In the model described by Clayton Christensen, However Tesla Motors broke the mold. Then reinvented it. Not only did Tesla Chief Executive and Chief Product Architect Elon Musk demonstrate that convention could be defied, but he also did it in an industry with 100-year-old traditions, norms, and processes. Of course, the auto industry has innovated in the past, but Tesla, which was founded in 2003, has pushed the envelope beyond what most automakers thought possible. The company’s Silicon Valley-style “techpreneurship” enabled it to move faster, work more efficiently, and create groundbreaking new ideas around sustainable mobility and automotive technology.

Better buildings are the new coming disruption.

Better building development will eat up revenues and market share from traditional real estate. While young people have tended to drive the industry to meet their ambition in a productive, efficient, and intelligent environment to work and live in it. the aging of societies will challenge the way we think about real estate. We need to cater to the needs of an aging population with new ideas for?coliving, coworking, smart shopping, e-entertainment, cloud stores, modular manufacturing spaces and buildings, and creating a healthy environment that keeps the elderly out of hospitals as long as possible.

Value engineering is the name of the game.

Better buildings are the new name of the game. Value engineering is a methodology that ensures the owner is not overpaying to disrupt the status quo when an equally effective option exists. value engineering is important to deliver the owner's vision at a better design concept achieving better building functionality with proper cost.

The main reasons why you should include value engineering in visionary development, renovation, or remodeling project:

1. Optimizes Project Efficiency

Using value engineering during the planning and design phases of a building maximizes the project's overall efficiency, When the contractor has the final project schedule in hand during the preconstruction phase, they can assist the owner in saving money and time.

Finalizing the cost/time schedule as early as possible can reduce the frequency of design changes later on. Late reworks typically necessitate additional design and consultation costs, as well as costly project delays.

2. Function-focused process

The original function of the commercial building is the unassailable starting point for any design changes. Your VE team can find alternative materials or design concepts that provide better function at a lower cost, but not at the expense of the owner's intended function. The main goal of incorporating VE is to improve function and quality.

3. Minimizes overall project cost

Creative brainstorming yields viable VE proposals. Team members collaborate to generate as many alternative solutions as possible to deliver the required function most cost-effectively.

5. Multidisciplinary Effort

A team of experts, ranging from engineers and architects to quantity surveyors, actively participates in the creative design, analysis, evaluation, and development processes. Each member of the value engineering team understands the client's vision for the building and is familiar with the original project specifications. Their findings enable the project owner to optimize function, quality and cost across all project areas.
