My method for emotional regulation is simply pausing. Allowing ourselves to disconnect, reflect, and collect doesn't take away from the discussion, but rather resets it for a neutral restart.

Incorporating emotional intelligence and mindfulness into daily life can be achieved through regular self-reflection, active listening and empathy. Practicing mindfulness meditation helps in staying present and aware of emotions.

Pause when you first feel emotions during an engagement and resist the urge to react immediately. Take a moment to slow down, think, and act only after evaluating the situation.
