Is the Value of Education Diminishing?

Education per se has lifelong value and should not be evaluated with a micro-lens of employment only.
Most of the specialised skills are transient in nature. Industries restructure and get disrupted and will continue to hire & fire.
Once the short term becomes extremely important than medium to long term, then we are already in ICU struggling for Survival.
So, should we get swayed by such polarised views that we do not need an accredited quality diploma and/or degree?
For hiring Industry has to decide,
Are they just fulfilling immediate survival requirements or beyond that?
Those who aspire to be part of any industry, they have to also decide,
Is it just for survival or beyond that?
CEOs of Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and those who feel that one does not need a diploma or degree for getting a job, introspect, and let the world know:
Are you hiring for the short term only?
And ready to fire them when things get tough, predominantly by reckless decisions of top management?
I am sharing a web link for a keynote on Education 4.0 and beyond for Teacher's Day in India on 5th Sept 2020.

To highlight that very critical issue.
Do watch till the end to get a holistic view.
I will appreciate your comments, views, and suggestions.
Thank you,
with best wishes,
Deepak
