The Value of Community
One of the reasons why we exist as The Forum is to provide a safe environment for professionals to come together and learn. One of the main reasons why our members enjoy being part of The Forum is because we are likeminded, sharing similar roles, understanding the context of the questions and challenges we share and being curious to know more, and make improvements.

Our recent virtual conference (9th to 13th October) included 21-sessions with a mixture of keynotes, interactive workshops and technology showcases. Over 800 members registered, from over 150 different member organisations. This really demonstrated our collective strength in numbers as we moved our thinking forward on topics like: Forecasting, Scenario Modelling and Playbooks; Generative AI and Machine Learning; Scheduling, Real-Time, Shrinkage, Delivering Behavioural Change and Diversity & Inclusion.
With our Forum universe expanding each year, not just in terms of more people being involved, but also in terms of knowledge we must keep redefining our learning to keep raising standards. Validation is an important part of sharing and comparing, to ensure we are aware of the brilliant basics and good to best practice. However, we must also aspire to introduce new, pioneering and innovative ways. We are always looking to capture something new and track what we found interesting, but most importantly we are always looking to something different every day.
As we build on our strength in numbers our next step is to shape the future and take control of what happens. Lead ourselves to shape our future and not just allow ourselves to be shaped by what is happening around us.
