With the media landscape so highly fragmented, it poses a serious challenge for the public to find credible news and information. Educating organizations on how to navigate today's media landscape is a priority of the Fair Media Council, and our Folio Awards program is a cornerstone of our work.

Our unique judging process creates media-savvy consumers while ensuring the entries that become Folio Award winners represent the highest quality and most relevant works of news and social media.

The prestige of winning a Fair Media Council Folio Award has turned it into the gold standard for the modern media landscape. Entries come from around the country.

But we don't stop there: The people and organizations we recognize at the Folio Awards with special honors are key players in today's media world. They diligently work to uphold the standards we expect from the best in the industry. They have much to tell, and plenty to teach. And then there's this: They are also an inspiration and a potent reminder of how one person truly can make a difference in the lives of many.?

• The Call for Entries will begin Oct. 1, 2024 with the final deadline for entries being Feb. 1, 2025.
• Take note of category changes to be announced Oct. 1
• National News outlets may enter the Folio Awards for any work produced in 2023
• New York Regional news outlets may enter the Folio Awards for any work produced in 2023
• Long Island local news outlets may enter the Folio Awards for Long Island-based stories produced in 2023
• Corporations, nonprofits, educational institutions, associations, and media outlets anywhere may enter the social media categories of the Folio Awards.
