???? Value-Based Vs Cost-Based Thinking! | Coach Rakesh
After spending almost 20 years in the western world and also called the developed world like Canada and the USA and have more than 25 years exposure & experience to the developing world which is South Asia like India & Middle East and tried to analyze the people's thinking pattern in both the world and came with the following conclusion.
In the developed world most people have Cost-Based thinking rather Value-Based. For example, if they have to attend some workshop or seminar which can bring the life transformational value but their main concern is how much is the ticket? In contrast, I found in the western world that they mostly focus on the value and even if they don't have money they will borrow or loan and will make sure that they attend that seminar/workshop.
There are so many examples to prove, we all know how many Billions of Dollar America and Europe they spend in R&D on health, education, and technology sector at many times without any results but still, more than 95% inventions and discoveries take place in the developed world.
Few of my personal experiences would like to share which I did already through my speeches and articles. While working in India taught that focus on saving but when I encountered that book "The Magic of Thinking Big by David Swartz" at The American Library in Newand Delhi which taught me totally opposite learned that early age of your career never focus on saving rather make living expenses high and to support that find multiple streams of income to support that because if you do not have any bad habits like gambling, drugs, alcohol and womanizing where you will be saving your money?
Basically, you will be compromising with your lifestyle like in food, cloth, house, transportation & entertainment, etc and will surrender to mediocre living, that was a very big lesson for me and again that was value-based thinking.
Another three important lessons I learned and applied in my own life which changed my life forever and made this poor farmer boy retire a millionaire at 45th birthday and helping others to do the same. Here are these three lessons.
?? You are the average of your 5 best friends you spend your most time with. I changed my friend's circle and everything just transformed into a very different level of prosperity, influence, and happiness. By: Jim Rohn
??Whatever you want in your life, you will get it if just help enough number of people what they want in their life. And I simply started helping people to find their clarity in their WHAT & WHY which is helping them to live a meaningful and satisfying life. By: Zig Zigler
?? Whatever you earn juts spend 5% on your personal growth and your success is almost guaranteed. In the beginning, even I don't know what personal growth and development were and then started reading books, listening audio cassettes, listening podcasts, attending seminars, workshops, and conferences which helped me a lot towards value-based thinking. But one day when I hired my speaking coach Steve Lowell (www.stevelowell.com) by paying his coaching fee in 5 figures everything changed and my mindset becomes unstoppable and limitless.
