Corporate life can be a rollercoaster of experiences - full of excitement, challenges, and endless possibilities. I remember feeling passionate and eager about diving into the corporate world, but as time passed, my perspective shifted. Maybe it's because I haven't adjusted enough, or perhaps it's the changing environment or the new generation - I'm not sure. But one thing is for certain when I visit different companies to represent my own and deliver workshops, the atmosphere still manages to amaze me.
I'll admit, I miss the hustle and bustle of corporate life - the workstations, the cabins, the cafeterias, and the vending machine sounds. The aroma of coffee in the air (although my personal favourite is tea), the never-ending meetings, the work pressure, and even the constant "Gyan" from the bosses - and not to forget the unnerving politics it's all part of the corporate life experience. It's a great mix of good and not-so-good things.
Throughout my corporate journey, I've learned valuable lessons that we all can benefit from.
1. Be patient and stay calm at work.
2. Avoid impulsive decisions by controlling your emotions.
3. Stay aware of workplace traps set by colleagues or bosses.
4. Keep focused on your work and stay clear-headed.

5. Enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
6. Take care of your health.
7. Surround yourself with supportive friends and avoid harmful ones.
As I think back on my time working for corporations, I see that I squandered years of my life without even recognizing it. It's not easy to feel like you're easily replaceable, and it's a harsh reality to face. So love yourself more and play the game wisely. Even if you lose the game, there's always a chance to play another one.
