Valuable Lesson from the beans

Few years back I did some grass cutting around the hill going up to the house and did some gardening fixing my beans at the backyard before I could take shower and go to work.

While fixing the beans and harvesting some beans, I realized something interesting. I realized that those beans that grew up with grass and other plants that I thought if I remove the grass and other plants earlier while the beans were small, grew up but the plant did not go very far and the beans it bore were also not very attractive, they were smaller in size. The beans stalk where tangled among itself and did not look very attractive. When they were small, they grew very smart.

However those bean plants that I fixed with sticks, remove weeds, and gave attention to grew so tall and attractive. The beans seeds were big and nice and some were still growing higher racing to reach the top of the stick I uses as their support.

It dawn on me that children are like beans. Children that are left unattended to, not properly cared for and looked after get tangled with life and never go too far. They may bear fruits, but the fruits might not be very attractive. Only few that strive through odds rise above.

This kind of family are not the only ones in the settlements and block, but it can be from homes with highly educated parents, if we fail to give the time and attention required to raise our children not living them to their baby sitter only can have similar effect.

Those children that are well cared for, well discipline and well instructed for the path they would take in life go a long way, achieve greater achievements.

Children needs our time, care and support to write a success story for themselves. Fix them while they are still small and they will make your proud when they grown older.

The wisest man in the history of humanity stated it very well.

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)

Train up a child in the way he should go,

And when he is old he will not depart from it.
