Validate Your Values
I'm currently amidst a 12-week leadership accelerator with a fabulous colleague leading 10 businesses through a transformation in Australia. As part of our work - of course, we address the great bastion - MINDSET.
We dipped into one of the great teachers of our time - this week - 48 years of relentless research on human behavior - Dr Demartini - now I've been a long time fan because he's a science-based, no bullshit, master of his craft with a magnificent vocabulary - and I'm pretty sure he makes up words as I do sometimes! Dr Demartini maintains we sit on a bed of social conditioning - what our parents said, politicians said, religious leaders said, mentors said - and we take on their views of the world but this is not always representative of what we value inherently.
Simply put, we act out what we value - what we spend our time and money on. Check out your credit card and calendar to verify that.
If you’re unhappy, lacking zest or not on point - this is where it gets good! Dr D has the knack of drawing out what we really want, how to line up our highest value and how to prioritize our life around that and then be able to release the mountain of value that sits? underneath - which makes us happier and more productive because we are doing what we were put here to do. What captured me in his session on my walk yesterday was lining up your daily actions with your highest values. Sounds simple - and it is - if you're paying attention to the right things and then prioritizing what you do in a day.?

So I urge you to visit his website https://drdemartini.com and do the free Values Determination exercise. In a world of chaos and overwhelm - simplicity is the greatest gift at this point. If you're like me you may be surprised at what comes up. My highest values are creating and presenting content, travel and capital gain. Teach, travel and develop value. This is where I am the most focused, disciplined, reliable and lit up.?
Today I'm attacking the challenges that excite me most, stepping into my most authentic self, and contributing my best. When I step off that path - everyone else's shit and values and priorities pile in - life gets nebulous, unclear and my whole soul feels depressed. You'll be the same. It's human.
So, if you need a tune-up - check out his website and consider his short sharp transformative mini-workshops in terms of how you can step up to be optimal.
