Valerie L. Cortez is an Entrepreneurial, hands-on leader with broad experience in both the Real Estate and Government Industry. Valerie is the CEO of aValyn Solutions LLC. In this role she is responsible for managing the company’s overall operations and revenue generation strategies for all customer segments across the company.?

Valerie is retired Civil Service. Previously, Valerie served as Missile Defense Agencies RDT&E Appropriation Manager. In this role she managed agency level funds control through establishing, planning, managing, coordinating, facilitating and overseeing all aspects of the RDT&E Appropriation supporting the agency’s current and future mission and workforce consisting of 35+ program elements with over $17.629B annual active dollars spread across 7 Portfolios of programs and 20+ Operational Programs of Record.?

Valerie is also a Navy Veteran, having served 8 years active duty holding both Southwest Asia w/ bronze star and Kuwait Liberation medals. ??

Valerie holds a Master’s degree in business administration from Averett University at Virginia, a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix New Orleans, LA Campus.
