Valentino Pulled Out All the Stops At Chateau de Chantilly Couture Show

“It was an exquisite piece of opera,” director Baz Luhrmann declared after Valentino’s haute couture show at the Chateau de Chantilly, the most eagerly awaited event of Paris Couture Week.
Indeed, the evening had it all: a cinematic setting, high fashion and a star-studded audience.?
After a two-hour bus ride through rush-hour traffic, guests emerged into the fairy-tale setting of the Renaissance castle surrounded by geometric gardens designed by André Le N?tre. Models walked past a giant equestrian statue and descended the sweeping outdoor stairs, circling a fountain in their rainbow finery.

Chloé confirmed that its creative director?Gabriela Hearst?would step down later this year, lauding her for playing “an instrumental and key role in driving Chloé’s ongoing transformation into a mission-driven company.”

Tom Ford, which is now under the ownership of the Estée Lauder Cos., will present its spring 2024 womenswear collection during Milan Fashion Week in September. This will be the debut womenswear collection designed by Peter Hawkings, following his appointment as creative director in April.

Yes, Blandino and Johnson, partners in business and life who founded Too Faced in 1998?and sold it to the Estée Lauder Cos.?in a landmark deal for $1.45 billion in 2016, then the largest acquisition in Lauder’s history —?are back at it.
Toy Box Brands is a cross-category incubator that taps into personal and professional know-how. The first two brands, a jewelry cleaner called Drunk Diamond and a?makeup?line called Polite Society, are launching in July and August, respectively, followed by a capsule?makeup?collection for Madonna’s upcoming tour inspired by the singer’s seminal?beauty?looks. (The superstar is a close pal of the duo.)
“I never thought for one second we’d ever do this again,” Blandino said of the fully self-funded venture. “We had success bigger than I ever dreamt up and created this movement in?beauty?and helped, in our own tiny little way, change culture through Better Than Sex.”
