Vaccinations in York County through February 23
VACCINATIONS in York County through February 23
I've been working on compiling vaccine info because it's really just so haphazard. The data is the easy part, gathering provider info and best practices for actually GETTING an appointment is far more difficult. If you have anything to add, I would love any and all thoughts and insights you've learned about the process.
I'm working on this Google Sheet, where I've added all the providers that are on the DOH website, plus some that I didn't see on it on the first tab with some notes to help the process. On the second tab I'm adding websites and resources to help the process.
This is a evolving work in progress, but it's something:

As for the data, the columns should the daily reported vaccinations: light green is the first dose, dark green is the second dose. These are measured by the left axis. The lines show the running count of partially vaccinated individuals (light green), and the cumulative total of fully vaccinated individuals (dark green) measured on the right axis. Once someone is recieves their second dose they are removed from the "paritally vaccinated" number, so I expect this number will stabilize as the process becomes more efficient.
So far 18,293 people in York are fully vaccinated and 23,926 are partially vaccinated. If we assume herd immunity is reached at around 75%, then we need about 337,500 people to be vaccinated. Slowly but surely we're getting there!
