Who? | This summer program is designed for all students aged 12-16 years old (grades 6-10) with an interest in design, technology, art, science, and engineering.
What? | We will learn how to use digital modelling for augmented and virtual reality, which will merge with a physical model and autonomous robot vehicles created with Arduino-based robot kits. Find out more information on curriculum and a sample day at V4Lab.
Why? | Canada’s knowledge-based economy is continuing to grow, requiring youth to be well-versed in all types of digital tools and technologies. This new economy requires new literacies than previous generations including critical and design thinking, numeracy, and communication skills. This intensive 2-week workshop gives students an opportunity to engage with these technologies and develop these skills in a post-secondary environment.
Dates & Time | Two two-week sessions are available this summer. Programming for both sessions is the same.
Week 1 & 2: Tuesday, July 3 – Friday, July 13, 2018
Week 3 & 4: Monday, July 16 – Friday, July 27, 2018
