Free Your Frustration: The Power of Vulnerability

What if the frustration you carry isn’t a burden, but a doorway to your personal power? Vulnerability often feels risky, like stepping into a storm. Merriam-Webster defines it as being “capable of being wounded.” But what if it’s this very openness that gives us the strength to grow and thrive?

When we share what’s in our hearts—our ideas, dreams, or fears—we risk criticism. Shame often sneaks in, silencing us with the fear of rejection. But here’s the truth: shame’s power lies in the stories we tell ourselves. And the incredible thing? We have the power to rewrite those stories.

I’ve been there. As a parent, coworker, leader, and friend, I’ve made decisions from a place of ego. Psychology Today once described ego as the filter through which we justify avoiding responsibility or conflict. For me, ego led to decisions that excluded the bigger picture, leaving me disconnected to those around me.

One day, I finally spoke out loud the truths I’d buried. In my book “Can You Hear Me?” I share how this act of vulnerability shattered the grip of shame. By taking ownership, I unlocked my voice and my power, transforming my relationships and my leadership.

What about you? Are you carrying emotional weight that no longer serves you? If so, let’s set it down. Together, we can free your frustrations, reclaim your narrative, and awaken your personal power. Book an emotional decompression session today—you’re stronger than you think.

This post hits home. I suffer sometimes with being vulnerable because I've had people use it as a weapon in the past. However, when I am vulnerable, I admit that it is such a freeing feeling.

I agree with many others who have commented. Being vulnerable takes strength and courage. And once you express what ever frustrations you have, you are able to learn and grow from them.
