This week we are reporting on MNG Airlines to operate cargo flights to Uzbekistan, Centrum Air expanding flight routes, and more.


MNG Airlines to operate cargo flights to Uzbekistan (source)

  • MNG Airlines, a Turkish cargo airline, has received approval to operate regular cargo flights to Uzbekistan
  • The flights will be operated on the Istanbul-Navoi route using Airbus 300-600, Airbus 330-200, and Airbus 330-300 aircraft

SMBC Aviation to deliver two Airbus A321neo aircraft to Uzbekistan Airways (source)

  • Uzbekistan Airways has signed a lease agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital for two Airbus A321neo aircraft, with expected delivery in 2026
  • Additional aircraft will help the airline expand its route network across Southeast Asia and Europe

Asman Airlines completed its inaugural technical flight (source)

  • Kyrgyzstan's Asman Airlines completed its first technical flight on the Bishkek-Talas route. The flight was conducted as part of Asman Airlines' preparations for launching regular flight operations
  • In addition to that, the airline announced that its second aircraft is scheduled to arrive in October 2024

Silk Avia launches domestic flights connecting key Uzbek cities (source)

  • Silk Avia, a subsidiary of Uzbekistan Airports JSC, to operate three new domestic flights in Uzbekistan connecting Fergana-Samarkand, Kokand-Bukhara, and Kokand-Termez starting in October
  • The flights will be operated once a week using ATR72-70Y aircraft

Centrum Air expands flight routes (source)

  • Centrum Air, a private airline in Uzbekistan, will operate direct passenger flights on the routes Tashkent-Termez, Tashkent-Moscow, Tashkent-Tel Aviv, and Tashkent-Langkawi starting in October
  • Additionally, the airline announced the plan to modernize its fleet with new Airbus A321neo aircraft
