UX TREND REPORT 23

UX TREND REPORT 23

Every year the World Usability Congress publishs the

GLOBAL UX TREND REPORT.

Interest in UX has been growing now more than ever, particularly over the last few years. Within the next year, UX will change immensely and will continue to grow exponentially. As a result, UX will play a crucial role in almost every industry and sector and will concern everyone, becoming a major part of everyday life. UX will incorporate other disciplines and fields of expertise, such as psychology, to achieve the best possible outcome. The aim of the UX Trend Report 2023 is to identify both micro and macro trends in UX as well as discover new approaches to UX applications.

Thanks to all who take part in it, and to all professionals who shared their knowledge!

So which insight's do we really neet to know?

So is the first answer really a surprise?

For those who work in Experience Design, I am convinced not. But does all other people know the value of Experience Design?

As we see there is a huge potential in many companies to optimize business performance with Experience Design.

How can we start to convince the right stakeholder?

UX TREND for the COMING YEAR!

Envision coffee machines that start brewing just when you think it’s a good time for an cappucino, office lights that dim when it’s sunny, your favorite music app playing a magical tune depending on your mood.

Predictability is the essence of a sustainable business model. In a digital world, with millions of users across the globe, prediction definitely has the power to drive the future of interaction. Feeding a historical dataset into a system that uses machine-learning algorithms to predict outcomes makes prediction possible.

MEASURING EXPERIENCE DESIGN

If we don't measure, the whole work does not make sense?

Or am I wrong?

So we work really hard to optimize, and maybe it works but maybe not? That's not the solution for a professional work. So my suggestion is to start measure!

POTENTIAL OF EXPERIENCE DESIGN

Only at 4% of all companies implemented the potential of Experience Design hardly at all. I don't know any of those companies. So let's work on it! Really exciting information.

While I feel this is on point, predictive analytics has been around for a while now. AI, which has also been around for a while, got a jump restart with IBM Watson in 2014. While the promise was greater than the output, it has put AI squarely on the map and is a more pervasive part of predictive analytics and should be labeled as such.

One important question that the survey should have addressed - Dilution of UX as a body of knowledge because of misrepresentation of visual design as UX and it's impact on business and aspiring designers. Hannes Robier
