UX - Future Trends
Technology is undergoing a revolution, as are product user experiences and even the profession of UX design. Technology will blend more seamlessly into the environment in the future. Our dream Sci-fi movie gadgets are finding reality grounds and technology is making us more comfortable with AI, AR, voice and connected devices, we’ll design less for pixels or form factors and more for information — where, when and how to present it.
Our tools will change with technology...But while the world and our relationship with it may change, the building blocks of human behavior stay the same — attention, trust, fear, traits, habit, etc. We won’t build websites or apps in the way we do now. UI might be designed by algorithm instead of in Prototyping Tools. We’ll focus on the broader experience instead of an individual touchpoint or product. Design challenges will be less about a task in an app, but more about how to help users to have the best impression of the product from download to sustainable use. To keep up and catalyze greater change, designers will need to reevaluate and refresh their understanding of fundamental human behavior and needs constantly.
We have evolved from technology being assistive to it being more a companion now. It understands the consumer better than humans do....Humanized Technology. Human emotions will play an important role as AI devices grows with more and more data generated.. Technology can utilise to give better informed choices to the end users be more of a friend, partner and more... Emotional Intelligent. Relations with technology ..isn't that a crazy world ahead.. AI enabled technology will be constantly learning about the users as it is fed up with more and more user data – with that it will have the power to be able to come up with personalised interfaces on the fly. One fascinating example of adaptive UX is Google now. Google now analyses the users past behaviour and the environment to deliver truly personalised user experience to its users.
UX design is more ubiquitous than it has ever been before — UX designers and companies recognize its value as a differentiator, more people have access to good design tools. Given that, it is important for us to continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible and to uphold the principles of great UX design. Quickly, new interaction paradigms are starting to take root (e.g. AR, improved wearables, etc), which will completely change how we interact with products and our environments — allowing us to create connections in ways we never could before.
While it’s hard to predict the future, current UX-design trends show some of the directions in which we’re heading. Motion Graphics, Wearables, AR, VR, AI enabled gadgets, Voice based and gesture based UI...Co-creating and empathising with people to envision a more desirable future will surely be important for future
As for my future predictions, I think the demand for UX designers will continue to grow, not only in the tech industry, but also in other industries that are in great need of some UX love. I can’t see us moving away from mobile and computer screens in the near future, but I’m excited to see how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, voice commands, augmented reality and virtual reality develop. I think that the future holds exciting times for UX designers. May be my dream as a 15 yr old of having robots at home is about to come true. We just need to remember to stay flexible and adaptable and enjoy the ride ahead...
Looking forward to your comments as well as compliments, which would help us know more about the future of UX. Will be glad to help with any UX requirements and Design thinking implementations.
