  • Empathy: Empathy understands the emotions and problems of others by putting yourself in their shoes. A UX designer should possess this skill to comprehend the issue needs of the end-user and work towards finding solutions to their problems.?
  • Analytical Thinking: UX designers need to continuously analyze, evaluate, and apply information to gain?insights into user experience and further help resolve their issues. The problem-solving process involves analytical thinking, as the designer will need to create a web solution for the user after gathering relevant information without an unbiased opinion. It helps in filling the gaps between assumptions and logical interpretations.

  • Coding: Coding can be defined as a compilation of programs executed on an electronic device with a set of specific functions. UX designers can only focus on learning basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • UX Research: User research is crucial, and surveys need to be conducted. They can be in quizzes, survey forms, polls, etc. and are distributed among the current and targeted users. The insights from the feedback can improve the already existing product or strengthen any additional feature before launching a new product.
  • Writing Skills: UX writing is the act of crafting copy for users, which will guide them through the product and assist them in interacting with it. The interaction could be in the form of audio, video or text.?

Intermediate Level

  • Project management: The emphasis is from the time of design conception to its completion stage. The process involves establishing and controlling the digital efforts (user-friendly, enjoyment ability) to improve the user experience.
  • Visual communication: Visual communication is about creating an aesthetic appeal on the website by tactically placing images, layouts, fonts and text etc., to engage the user and convey the desired ideas effectively.?
  • Information Architecture: It is the study of organizing and structuring information (content) of the digital platform like websites, social media accounts, and mobile applications. The information should be contained in a proper flow to quickly understand and conveniently reach the user without being too time-consuming or confusing.
