UWCSEA Students Explore Social Work with Enabling Leadership

Five students from the United World College Of South East Asia (UWCSEA) students recently completed their week-long internship with Enabling Leadership in our working site - Battambang, Cambodia. Throughout their time, they engaged in a range of tasks, benefiting both themselves and the organization.

These talented students actively contributed by painting inspiring murals, digitizing baseline assessment data, organizing storage space, capturing program media, and creating engaging social media content. Their involvement allowed them to witness the impact of Enabling Leadership's programs firsthand.

During their internship, the students had the opportunity to visit Play & Build sessions and interact with Program Assistants (PAs) and students. This experience we hope would have brought valuable insights into the lives of young individuals and the positive changes Enabling Leadership and Children's Future (Implementation Partner) brings to the community.

On their final day, the UWCSEA students conducted a workshop where they shared their experiences as UWC students and introduced innovative teaching strategies and fun activities to the PAs. This collaboration enhanced the exchange of ideas and inspired the teachers in their classroom practices.

The internship with Enabling Leadership offered these students a chance to apply their skills and gain real-world experience in the field of social work. By actively participating in various tasks and engaging with beneficiaries, they played an integral role in creating a positive impact.
