A state energy minister A K Sharma stated that #uttarpradesh received investments commitments in the sector of #solarenergy and related industries, amounting to Rs 2 lakh crore. Sharma, told PTI that the state has launched the “Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy 2022” which aims at setting up 22 gigawatts (GW) of #greenenergy projects in the state by 2027. In response to a question about investment targets in RE, the minister stated that “the policy is only two months old” and had already received commitments of Rs 2 lakh crore for solar and related sectors.
For the installation of approximately 1,110 MW (1.1 GW) of grid-connected #solarprojects , MADHYA PRADESH URJA VIKAS NIGAM LTD Nigam (MPUVNL) has issued an invitation for bids, as part of Component C of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) initiative for feeder #solarization .The developer will be qualified for government financial aid worth 30% of the projected project cost.The bidders must design, engineer, install, build, supply, test, and commission the projects in addition to building the bay and associated switchgear at the substation, according to the project’s scope of work.
In order to make farming profitable and to empower farmers, the State government has taken several steps to increase the availability of nine hours of free power to the farm sector. The tie-up with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited , (SECI), for the supply of #solarpower is the most important. It will begin with 3,000 Megawatts (MW) from September 2024 in the first tranche and 3,000 MW and 1,000 MW in the second and third tranches from September 2025 and September 2026 respectively, Minister for Energy Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy said on Monday.
