According to a statement by the #uttarpradesh government, the state has signed 6 Memorandum of Understandings of worth Rs 18,590 crore with 6 companies of the #unitedarabemirates.This was in advance of the?#GlobalInvestorsSummit?which will be held in Lucknow in February. The statement states that this agreement will create over 20,000 new jobs.

The #EasternRailway has issued an invitation for bids for the installation of 1.9 MW of grid-connected #rooftopsolar systems, with an estimated project cost of Rs, 67.42 million, at various locations in the Sealdah Division of #westbengal. The last date for submitting proposals is January 24, 2023, which will be revealed on that day only. Each bidder is required to provide Rs. 487,100 as an earnest money deposit. The project must be finished within a year of getting the work order. Any location must have a minimum installed capacity of 10 kW.

Husk Power has secured funding from #Germany’s development ?nance institution DEG to build 8 new community #solar #microgrids in Nigeria, and to support expansion of the company’s #india operations. DEG allocated the funds from its Up-Scaling Program, which is co-?nanced by the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) . The 5-year loan in the amount of US $749,000 follows Husk successfully closing debt totalling US $10.3 million from EDFI-ElectriFI and IREDA Ltd. in 2022 to build over 200 microgrids in India. The DEG ?nancing is the ?rst debt raised by Husk for its business in Nigeria, where the company currently has 12 operational microgrids, and a target of building 500 by 2026.
Despite a delay in the firm’s compliance process, the Central Electricity Regulatory Commissionê(Cerc) permitted HPCL Biofuels Limited , a generator of renewable energy, to get #renewableenergycertificates (RECs). It instructed the National Load Despatch Center (NLDC) to grant the RECs following the careful inspection to make sure the projects complied with all requirements for REC eligibility.HPCL Biofuels has submitted a petition asking for forgiveness for the delay in complying with the regulations for the issue of RECs
