U.T. Masters of Science in Information Security and Privacy - Public Policy

For the last three years, every spring, I have had the privilege of serving an adjunct professor in the MSISP program, serving as the professor for the public policy course. This course provides graduate students the opportunity to not only work through emerging public policy issues impacting cybersecurity and privacy leaders in todays complex world but also to hear from thought leaders from government and the private sector.

Though the guest speaker lists varies by semester, I want to take a moment to thank one of the anchor presenters in the program, Harley Geiger . ?? Trey Ford a student in the first semester I taught, introduced me to Harley on a Friday and on Saturday Harley agreed to present. His sessions are always compelling and a class favorite every semester. Its through guests lectures like Harley, this class and the overall MSISP program has such a positive impact on the students. As an attorney with Venable LLP and an expert on privacy topics, Harley is able to covey critical topics in a compelling fashion. I want to publicly thank him for consistently making time (even when I had scheduling challenges with his invite!)

Sincere thanks to both Harley and Trey, who now too serves as a guest lecture for making an impact with MSISP 382.

Thank you, Mike, for making the effort to bring such a broad range of perspectives. Your class was absolutely the peak of my graduate experience at UT and the class I recall the most about, over two years later!
