New On-Board DAA System to be Developed Accelerating BVLOS Operations

Volatus Aerospace ?is set to develop an on-board Detect and Avoid (DAA) system to deconflict drones from other aircraft.

A grant of $75,000 from the Downsview Aerospace Innovation & Research (DAIR) Green Fund has been issued for the development and integration. This is seen as a major step forward in safe and scalable?Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS)?operations.

New Propeller Balancing Solution Unveiled

Tyto Robotics ?has released a new dynamic?propeller balancing solution, an advanced?software?feature that offers a streamlined approach to achieving balanced rotors and improved unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) performance.

The company has designed the new balancing feature to allow users to meet ISO 21940-11 grade balancing standards with just a few quick spins of the propeller.?

Electromechanical Actuator Partnership Solidifies eVTOL Aircraft Development

Volz Servos ?has entered into a production agreement with BETA TECHNOLOGIES , establishing itself as a critical electromechanical actuator partner for the ALIA eVTOL project.

During 2023, BETA collaborated with Volz to finalize its fly-by-wire system for the ALIA CTOL and ALIA VTOL configurations.
