Using your salary to create wealth..

Dear Employee,

Your salary is a seed to creating your wealth, are you eating all your seeds, or you are saving something and planting for the future harvest?

I know you continue to hear people tell you that you can't become rich through employment, and some make it worse by saying that Salary is the bribe the employers give you to forget about your dreams.

I don't agree with the above and I do believe one can use their salary to create wealth better than many who are doing business.

All you need to understand are the dynamics of wealth creation and knowing that it is not about how much you earn but how much you save and invest that will make you wealthy.

April is a financial literacy month in which you should be learning something new about how to handle your finances and this article is one of those to inspire you on this journey.

The economic times we are in are not favourable for everyone and you should prioritize whatever little you have because you can't tell what the future holds.

Given we are in now the fourth month of the year, you need to reflect if you are making progress on your journey to creating the life you want when it comes to your finances.

Whether it is becoming more disciplined about your saving, and investments or starting an alternative source of income, you should do something in the next months of this year that will help you add more money to your name.

Remember there will be a time when you will not be earning but will have expenses to pay.

There will be times when you get a financial challenge like a huge medical bill or school fees that you will need to clear.

There might also be situations when you will get an opportunity to say someone is selling something like land or any other property that you have always yearned to have.

All the above will require you to have some money on you and you will not be going around looking for someone to lend you money.

Now is the time to be disciplined about your saving, and investment, and create alternative sources of income.

Start with the little you have and you will be amazed what this will create for you by the end of the year and beyond.
