Using VMware Pulse IoT Center to monitor bushfire smoke

I've been working with a number of customers on how Pulse can help manage their IoT environments. I've also been getting a fair bit of hands on time with the platform over the past few months, and the bushfires here in Australia gave me an idea. Can I use Pulse and a Raspberry Pi to monitor PM2.5 and PM10 readings?
