Using Video to sell Real Estate

The title should actually read:” Using Video to promote your Real Estate Business.

That’s’ really what you want, right? If you have a listing that’s priced right, it’s probably going to sell. If you have buyer that’s ready, willing, and able you just need to find them a home. 

But the real product is you and your team. The quality of your business depends largely upon developing your relationships with your prospects, clients & customers, and the people who may refer you clients & customers.

Promotion

For example, the real benefit of doing a property video is not that it sells the home, but rather that it serves the sellers and potential buyers and it makes a nice little addition to your listing presentation. You can also send it to your database/mailing list. Even if someone has opted out of your email list you can send them a postcard with the link printed on it-showing them how you work for your clients.  Promoting your videos online allows you to remarket to the people that clicked on your ad even if they don’t sign up for your mailing list.

Communication

Every Real Estate agent should have a video walking their clients through the relevant steps of the process. Tis accomplishes a number of things. It let them know what to expect, and it is a great touchpoint. If you are like me you have given that speech thousands of times. A video of “What to Expect” gives them a consistent experience of that presentation, something they can refer back to later, and makes sure you don’t miss important points.

If they’re NOT a client YET it shows your prospects that you know what you are doing, have taken steps to prepare your clients, and lets them get to know you a little. In other words, it helps nurture the relationship, be it established or just getting started.

Service

It all comes down to serving you customers and showing them that you care and are good at what you do. Your follow-up systems can be largely automated. I’m not saying set it and forget it, but you can put a framework in place that helps guide your clients through the process & providing timely reminders of what is happening and what comes next. You can even set up an automated email asking “what do you need today?”
