Recently, BuilidngPoint Midwest Wisconsin Account Executive Derek Polkowski was out on site with a contractor with the new Trimble X9 3D Laser Scanner powered by FieldLink.
Derek and the customer went out on site to accomplish generating a report to understand high and lows in a concrete floor on the field tablet.
The customer wanted a grid to look for a point every 3 feet with a tolerance of 1/4inch.
They were on site for 1 hour and 10 minutes and completed 16 scans.
From here, the customer can now take points to determine where to cut and fill (A Robotic Total Station or the Laser on the X9 can be used to find these locations)
