Using PR to make a difference!

If you've followed my newsletter, you'll recall a few months ago I helped my local NBC reporter on a story she was passionate about, SUV's and front-over accidents. She wanted to tell and SHOW the story of how large the blind spot in front of an SUV is and how dangerous it is, especially for children.

The only problem was, she couldn't get a large group of young kids together in one place to film the segment. I live in a neighborhood with lots of kids and was able to make it happen.

The story aired and grabbed the attention of a congressman.

This morning, the Today Show broke the news that this particular congressman was introducing a bill to make front cameras mandatory for SUVs.

I couldn't believe it! I was able to help a journalist get her story told that could create legislations that could save children's lives. There are no words to describe what that feels like.
