A bedtime story by Felício Ferraz.
One morning, my little son Eric came to me and asked me what I was typing. I said I was explaining the importance of using positive words when we speak; especially when we are asking for something we want. He then asked me why that was important.
So I asked him, “If a toy breaks and you want my help to fix it, what is better? Use negative words and say your toy is broken? Or use positive words and ask my help to fix it?” He thought for a moment and then nodded his head.
That night, I was praying with him before putting him to bed. I asked him if there was anything he wanted to ask from God. He said he does not want to have bad dreams. So I began asking God to help Eric not have bad dreams. He stopped me and reminded me to ask God using positive words.
He was very happy when I asked God to help him have good dreams! My little son fell asleep knowing he will not have bad dreams. No… I mean… he fell asleep knowing he will have good dreams!?
