1 年Please Mr Kamal what's the corrosion mechanism occuring at soil side tank ? Is there any standard reference recommending the VPCI as the most efficient solution to achieve protection against corrosion?

1 年Thanks for sharing this very nice information. Let me add about the root cause of corrosion, as we all know over time this problem happens to almost all over in our oil and gas industry. The main thing is you do annual on site testing isokinetically and inspection on your pipeline and establish a baseline of all contamination including solids and liquids in terms of solids in lbs / day and liquids in gallons per day. Than you run a composition analysis on the samples and see how much pipelin scale and iron oxide you are losing per day plus do a PSD to find out how big the particles are and than come up with a robust filtration system to protect your pipeline and other related components. This data you can use it for sizing of your next equipment upgrades and protect costly major issues of your pipeline and equipments.
