Today I want to share some experience of using OneSignal - free service for sending push notifications for web and mobile. And I am gonna write few words about web push.
Lots of our projects are using OneSignal because of:
- Its easy integration - it can take about 20 minutes for basic usage setup.
- The process of subscribing for web push is very simple for users - they don’t need to enter (share) personal data, f.e. email - as for RSS or email.
- Users will receive push notifications even if website is closed and when your browser is closed. But it shouldn't be annoying).
- More than 85% of all modern browsers are supporting web push notifications.
- Quick interaction with your site visitors - update order status, new products, promos, articles etc.
- You can create different segments of users and send notifications to the exact group.
- You can extend your push on mobile devices.
Real case from one of our projects - booze-news.com. Users don’t want to subscribe by email, but after implementing OneSignal the number of subscribed users increased by 300%. Feel free to subscribe and test) Pls, write your comments and questions.
Thanks
