Making a GUI - using Go (Golang)

I am deeply impressed with the Go programming language. For its extraordinary combination of simplicity and power. And for its inspired language design trade-offs. But it doesn’t have a good GUI library.

On the other hand, the web programming world has brought us superb GUI tooling in the form of HTML5, CSS and most notably, innovations – like the Bootstrap CSS toolkit that has come out of Twitter.

So this small presentation(12 slides) shows how you can code a stand-alone, desktop-style GUI app using Go, with the whole thing compiled and “baked” into a single, autonomous and deploy-able executable. It concludes with a link to the full (open-sourced) example code. All comments welcome.
