Using Diverters with Plug-and-Perf
Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well. The first two months of 2018 have been generally good for the industry, and hopefully we’ll see that continue!
If you follow completions, I’m sure you’ve heard about several operators using more and more perforation clusters per stage. Another trend that is coinciding with the addition of clusters is the use of diverters. Most of the investor presentations that I’ve seen indicating an increase in the number of clusters per stage also mentions something about diverters. Operators are using diverters with the intentions of increasing cluster efficiency in their current frac design or maintaining or improving cluster efficiency when adding these additional clusters. My latest video blog, Using Diverters with Plug-and-Perf, discusses what diverters are and how they are being used in primary fracturing operations with plug-and-perf. Here’s the link to this module:

But you talking about drill horizontal well usisng Plug-and-Perf, and Im geophycisits, and you reservoir enginner..so I confuse two system driller, with following survey drill with seismic on depth PSDM..but Im sending kind regards!!

6 年The most efficient diverter is to not make the hole in the first place. A target pump rate of 1.5-2 bpm/perf and the vast majority of the perfs will be open. So why not punch fewer holes?

6 年With well density getting higher and higher, Why did you use divertors?- will not be a question to ask, but rather, Why didn't you?...
