Using culture to create an unfair advantage

Using culture to create an unfair advantage

Building a high-performing team starts with a strong foundation of cultural values. When you focus on creating a culture that celebrates the the strengths of each team member, you create an environment where teammates become invested in the success of the company.

Our culture at EXIT83:

  • Authenticity: Establish meaningful relationships with clients and teammates. Practice kindness, empathy and understanding.?
  • Empowerment: Foster an environment where everyone’s opinions matter. Encourage people to voice new ideas or ways of approaching a problem.
  • Ownership: Your team should not just work a task, but take ownership of the issue. Promote those who drive issues with limited guidance.

Actual communication an EXIT83 team member provided to a client. This person demonstrated empathy about what the client’s goals, felt empowered to provide their opinion, and unilaterally took ownership of the solution with some test code.?

The client feels like they have a real engineering partner, not just someone who is hammering out code.

This is so true. Amazon's culture has become very diluted since Andy took the helm. It's the reason why I'm planning to leave.

Love this! When a team gels, magical things happen.
