The purpose of a good database is to store and record data. Generally, this is for the purpose of improving workflows through data analysis.
It's interesting then, since analysis is the end goal, that most databases aren't built with that end goal in mind.
One way to ensure that you get awesome insights at a glance is to use color to enhance your records. It should come as no surprise that Airtable has built a robust platform for you to color your records.
In this video I go into the various ways to make your data pop, including:
- Using conditional formatting to illuminate important data
- Assigning records color by tying to a single select field
- Adding color to events on a calendar based on their date field
Color is a great way to get that extra boost from your data - how have you used color to take your data to the next level?
