AI-powered resume analysis can greatly simplify the candidate screening process for recruiters and hiring managers. Machine learning (ML) is also being implemented to make more informed and accurate decisions when searching and hiring employees. From my personal experience, of nearly 20 years in the industry, just less than a decade back, a recruiter was able to go through 10-30 resumes per position to find 3-5 qualified candidate. Now, several tools allow you to plow through hundreds at a time and connect with the ones that are better qualified right from the beginning.
Here are some ways AI can analyze resumes to select candidates:
1. Analysis of resumes. AI can extract relevant information from resumes, such as contact details, work experience, education, skills, and certifications. This analysis process helps create structured data that can be easily analyzed.
2. Keyword matching. Artificial intelligence algorithms can match keywords from a job description to the contents of a resume. This helps identify candidates who have the required skills and qualifications.
3. Sentiment analysis. AI can analyze the tone and sentiment expressed in a resume. This can provide insight into the candidate's attitude, communication skills and overall suitability for the organization.

4. Assessing experience and skills. AI can evaluate a candidate's experience and skills by analyzing the details provided in the resume. He can determine relevant work experience and proficiency in specific technologies.
5. Verification of education and certification. AI can verify the authenticity of educational qualifications and certificates mentioned in a resume.
6. Bias detection. Artificial intelligence algorithms can help identify and mitigate unconscious biases in the candidate selection process. By removing personal information such as names, gender and ages, AI can focus solely on candidates' qualifications and skills.
7. Predictive analytics. AI can analyze historical data on successful hires and use it to predict a candidate's possibility of success based on their resume.
It is important to understand that AI only helps in the initial selection of personnel and only a professional can find the best employee. AI can help recruiters at the first stage of candidate selection using a programmed algorithm with a database.
