Abu Dhabi Signs MoU to Establish First Hydrogen Equipment Manufacturing Complex

The?Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development?(ADDED) has signed an MoU with?Broaden Energy?to establish the first hydrogen equipment manufacturing complex in Abu Dhabi. This AED 1 billion (~$272 million USD) project supports Abu Dhabi’s Industrial Strategy and the UAE National Hydrogen Strategy, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050. The facility will boost job creation, economic development, and innovation. The UAE plans to be a top 10 hydrogen producer by 2031, enhancing its energy infrastructure and industrial excellence.

Voith establishes hydrogen joint venture with Chinese tech group Weifu?

Voith Group, a German technology firm, has partnered with?Wuxi Weifu High-Technology Group Co.,Ltd.?to advance hydrogen storage systems through two new joint ventures. One JV, majority-owned by Voith, targets the global market (excluding China), while the other, majority-owned by Weifu, focuses on China. The partnership leverages Weifu's expertise in automotive applications and market access in China. Voith CEO?Toralf Haag?highlighted the collaboration's potential to accelerate hydrogen technology development.?Bosch Hydrogen Energy, a strategic partner with Weifu since 2022, facilitated the agreement.
